The American College Foundation(ACF) offers the annual Visionary Scholarship program to financially support students in every grade level of high school. The ACF awards start at $1,000 each, with a grand prize of $5,000 and it’s is a merit based scholarship.

Funding

Each award is a one-time, non-renewable award that is paid directly to the institution and is to be used exclusively to offset costs and fees related directly to the student’s first year of higher post-secondary education at an accredited institution of the student’s choosing within the United States. In the event an underclassman is an award recipient, the monies will be held by the American College Foundation until the student completes high school and begins their higher education. The American College Foundation does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, sex, religion, national origin, or disability.

Eligibility

Applicants must be:

  • Currently in highschool.
  • US citizens

Application process

After registering on their website you should receive an application packet via email within two weeks. All components of the application must be received completely at the time of submission. Applicant will not be notified of a partial and/or incomplete application. All applications for the American College Foundation’s Visionary Scholarship Program will consist of:

  1. Completed ACF Visionary Scholarship Application.

2. Student’s most recent unofficial high school transcript.

3. 500-word essay on “Why College is Important to Me”.

Application deadline

2024-2025 Fall deadline: December 1, 2023.

Winners Chosen: January 15, 2024

Awards Distributed: July 31, 2024
