The Al Musaafir foundation provides annual scholarships created to support students’ academic pursuits by providing financial assistance for IELTS/application fees, mentorship, and workshops. Application process

To apply you’ll need to stay updated with their social media pages for whenever they provide the application link relavent to that year.

Documents that you’ll be expected to provide:

  1. completed application form
  2. A Motivation Letter (Why should we select you? – Max 150 words)
  3. Letters of Recommendation (LOR)
  4. A CV/Resume
  5. valid international passport

Scholarship recipients are expected (but not limited) to:

  • Treat the scholarship as an Amanah (trust) from Allah and fulfill the associated responsibilities with dedication and integrity.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to using their education to benefit the Muslim Ummah.
  • Participate actively in all scholarship-related activities, including workshops and mentorship sessions.

Selection criteria

The selection committee look for the following qualities:

  1. Selfless Service to the Muslim Ummah: Previous experiences and contributions to the community.
  2. Academic Knowledge: Demonstrated understanding and expertise in the applicant’s field of study.
  3. Proactiveness: Steps taken to prepare for the academic journey, such as additional qualifications or research.
  4. Confidence: Ability to articulate goals and present oneself effectively.
The selection process typically includes:
  1. Initial screening of applications.
  2. Review and scoring of eligible applications based on predefined criteria.
  3. An interview stage for shortlisted candidates.
  4. Final selection based on cumulative scores and overall fit for the scholarship.
