The CGTrader annual scholarship is an essay based competition that runs yearly with the purpose of challenging students to explore into the field of technology and how it’s changing our lives. There can be up to 3 selected winners, which will be awarded a total of $3,000.
What is CGTrader
CGTrader is an online 3D model marketplace for 3D designers and CG industry-related buyers. It was founded in 2011, Lithuania, and it’s purpose is to provide a platform for professionals and hobbyists in the 3D modeling industry to connect and collaborate. CGTrader hosts various challenges and competitions, including the CGTrader Annual Scholarship, to foster creativity and engage the wider community.
Application process
Eligibility criteria
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5.
- High school seniors, undergraduate, or graduate students enrolled full-time in an academic institution between January 1 and August 31.
Essay requirements
Word limit: 500–1,000 words.
Topic: Varies annually but focuses on technology and innovation.
last year’s topic: “Our life on a spaceship: the future of mankind”.
Application deadline: December 14
