Abdul Samad Rabiu scholarship for Africans

Share |

The Abdul Samad Rabiu scholarship is dedicated to improving the quality of life for millions nationwide. This initiative provides opportunities for academically capable students from low-income families across Nigeria to complete their university education, fostering economic empowerment and value contribution to the country.

A little background

ASR Africa is an initiative of one of Africa’s biggest philanthropists and serial entrepreneurs, Abdul Samad Rabiu, Founder & Executive Chairman, BUA Group. The Initiative was conceived out of a profound sense of duty to give back to the community that has given so much to us. With an initial endowment of USD$100 million annually, split evenly between Nigeria and the broader African continent, our founder, Abdul Samad Rabiu, CON, embarked on this journey in 2021 to start transformative change.

The Abdul Samad Rabiu Initiative’s Africa Fund for Social Development & Renewal is more than just a funding mechanism. It is a commitment to bridging the development divide, a reminder of the work that remains to ensure health, education, and social well-being for all Africans. As we strive towards this goal, we invite you to join us in making Abdul Samad Rabiu’s vision for a thriving, empowered Africa a reality.
