The AG Leventis Egba scholarship is a scholarship scheme designed to support brilliant but financially disadvantaged students who are indigenes of Egbaland in Ogun State, Nigeria. The scheme was inaugurated by the royal majesty – Alake of Egbaland Oba Dr. Oyebade Lipede early in 1995 at the Alake Palace Hall. The scheme has the Management Board and the Selection Committee which meet jointly and severally as occasions demand, especially to deliberate and consider number of awards to be made each year. The core goals of the AG leventis Egba scholarship prorgam is to provide higher educational opportunities for talented but less privileged youths and contribute to the enhancement of the human resource development of Egbaland.

Eligibility
Interest applicants are to meet the following criteria to be considered for this scholarship:
- Must be an indigene of Egbaland, Ogun State
- Must be a student of a recognized Nigerian university
- Must be in 200 level or above (for undergraduates)
- Postgraduate students are eligible
- Must be academically sound
- Must be from a financially disadvantaged background
- Must present valid documentation
How to apply
To apply for the Leventis Egba scholarship, applicants must fill a form either online or submit a physical application with all the required documents at Hon. Secretary, A.G. Leventis Office, Onikolobo, Abeokuta or any of the locations listed in their official website (linked below).
Shortlisted candidates will be required to take an exam under Art(For students pursuing arts and humanities), Science(For students pursuing science-related courses) and Management and social sciences(For students pursuing business and social sciences) to further test their academic potential and suitability for the scholarship program.
Required documents
- Photocopies of relevant education certificates
- A copy of the most recent statement of result duly authenticated by the designated officer
- In the case of post graduate or research students, a copy of the research proposal where applicable
- Evidence of current studentship/admission letter from your university that is within Nigeria
- Photocopy of certificate of birth
- Photocopy of certificate of origin from applicant’s local government area in Egbaland
Note: Shortlisted candidates must go through an interview at the Scheme’s Headquarters in Abeokuta, Ogun State.
