The David Oyedepo Foundation (DOF) scholarship is an annual grant for African students enrolled at Covenant University and Landmark University, two prestigious institutions founded by Dr. David Oyedepo in Nigeria. These full-ride scholarships cover tuition, accommodation, and living expenses for the entire duration of the recipient’s undergraduate programme.

Founded by Dr. David Oyedepo – the presiding bishop of Living Faith Church Worldwide (Winners’ Chapel), the David Oyedepo Foundation (DOF) is a Christian non-profit organization. Focused on transforming communities through education, leadership development, and social impact, the foundation is dedicated to raising individuals and platforms that drive positive change in society. Among its major initiatives is a scholarship program aimed at equipping visionary and academically excellent African students with the values, education, and tools they need to become change makers in their communities and across the continent.

Eligibility

Interested applicants must meet the following requirements to be eligible for this scholarship:

  • Be an African citizen and permanent resident of an African nation
  • Be between 16–25 years old at the time of applying
  • Be proficient in English (reading, writing, speaking)Be eligible to obtain a Nigerian student visa
  • Have an excellent academic record:
    • For Nigerians: At least 50 points above JAMB cutoff
    • For others: At least 80% average or 4.0 GPA/5.0Have started your application to Covenant or Landmark University

How to apply

Step 1: First apply at Covenant or Landmark University.

Step 2: Visit the David Oyedepo Foundation application portal. Read the full scholarship instructions and fill out the application form carefully.

Step 3: Upload all required documents and submit

Shortlist applicants will be invited for an online interview.

Required documents

  1. Completed application form
  2. Secondary school transcripts
  3. WAEC result (or equivalent)
  4. Two Letters of Recommendation:
    • One academic
    • One religious/faith-based
  5. Four Essays (each 500 words):
    • Why do you need this scholarship?
    • Why do you want to pursue your chosen course?
    • What is your leadership experience?
    • Do you love your country?
