Dr. Martin SYB Annual Scholarship

Share |

The Dr. Martin SYB Annual Scholarship has been created to encourage the participation of under-represented communities in the area of building health, safety and education by covering the tuition costs of the Building Biology Advocacy (BBA) Program at the Building Biology Institute

Who is Dr. Martin Blank

Dr. Martin Blank was one of the world’s leading EMF scientists, academics and activists for over 30 years. He performed decades of research at Columbia University Medical School and the US Office of Naval Research. Among many other roles, being the spokesman for the global scientists appeal on EMF radiation submitted to the United Nations, and the author of the BioInitiative Report were just one of Dr. Martin’s achievements.

So this scholarship was established in 2020 in Dr. Blank’s memory, by his son, R Blank, in collaboration with the Building Biology Institute, with the goal of expanding knowledge of EMF health and safety to a community that has traditionally been under-represented in this field.

What is Building Biology Institute

Building Biology Institute is a non-profit education organization that brings together the educational and technical resources to teach people how to create natural, healthy home and workplace environments.

The BBI fulfills its mission by guiding both the general public and working professionals (architects, builders, engineers, interior design professionals, physicians, nurses, and other health care practitioners, real estate professionals, etc.) to an understanding of the vital and complex interrelationship between the natural and built environments, and teach them the means for merging these complementary environments into greater harmony and planetary health.
