The NNPC OANDO National JV Scholarship offers eligible Nigerian tertiary education students a ₦200,000 annual grant. Selected students will be funded from the period of selection to the final year of study in their current universities.

This scholarship is a scheme by NNPC OANDO – a joint venture (JV) between the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC Ltd) and Oando PLC, a Nigerian multinational energy company. It is designed to support promising young Nigerians in STEM to encourage and empower academic excellence within the community.

Eligibility

Applicants must meet the following conditions to be eligible:

  • Rgistered full time undergraduates in Nigerian Tertiary Institutions
  • Certified 100-level students at the time of application (Only students admitted in the 2024/2025 academic session)
  • Citizens of the Federal Republic of Nigeria
  • Don’t be a beneficiary of any other scholarship from an entity operating in the oil and gas industry, national or international

You are not eligible if you fall under the following:

  • Current beneficiaries of similar Awards from other Companies and Agencies
  • Dependents of NAOC/NAE/AENR/NACPFA
  • Only Indigenes of NAOC Host/Transit Communities in Rivers, Bayelsa, Delta and Imo States should apply for the Host Communities Merit Award.
  • Only applicants studying Engineering, Geology, Geosciences and Agricultural Science are eligible for the National Merit Award.

How to apply

  1. To apply applicants must first create an account by clicking on the “Apply now” button in the website linked below.
  2. After you have created an account, you can go back to the scholarship page and provide them with any information required.
  3. Recheck application information to avoid error and click on “Apply now” to submit.
  4. You will receive an email and an SMS that confirms your application was successful. 
  5. Return to the original site and enter your Gmail and password to download your profile, and proceed to have your head of department sign the document. 
  6. Upload a scanned copy of the signed profile, this would be used for verification. 
  7. Return to https://candidate.scholastica.ng/schemes/oandoscholarship2025 and update application with National Identification Number (NIN) to ensure completion.

Note: Multiple applications attract a disqualification penalty from the scholarship board.

  • Passport photograph with white background not more than 3 months old (450px by 450px not more than 200kb)
  • School ID Card
  • O’level Certificate
  • Admission Letter
  • Birth Certificate
  • Proof of Local Government Area of Origin
  • Letter from Community Paramount Ruler (Only Applicants for Host Communities Merit Award)
  • Letter from CDC Chairman (Only Applicants for Host Communities Merit Award).
  • JAMB Result

Application deadline
