The Ramsay Postgraduate Scholarship is an initiative of Australian philanthropist Paul Ramsay, created to support top students in exploring and understanding Western civilization. It’s an opportunity for Australians to study at some of the world’s best universities and use their knowledge to make a difference in society.

Paul Ramsay

Paul was an Australian businessman and philanthropist who was always grateful for the opportunities presented to him and wanted to give back to his country. He saw Australia as one of many that had benefited from being part of the long continuum of Western Civilisation. In particular, he wanted younger Australians to appreciate and value this heritage, and to take the lead in passing it on to others. For all that he was known as “a man for others” These scholarships, in his name, help a great number of outstanding, thoughtful, and imaginative future leaders. The Ramsay center – established in 2006, do just that, by supporting them financially to pursue graduate study at the world’s best overseas universities.
