Thurgood Marshall College Fund

Thurgood Marshall College Fund(TMCF) scholarships are designed to relieve the financial burden of students attending a TMCF member school or other eligible accredited colleges or universities. The scholarship process is highly competitive. Most scholarships are one-time, non-renewable scholarships unless otherwise indicated. Scholarships are given without regard to race, color, creed, religion, sex, disability, or national origin.

Established in 1987, the Thurgood Marshall College Fund(TMCF) is the nation’s largest organization exclusively representing the black college community. TMCF member-schools include the publicly-supported Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) and Predominantly Black Institutions (PBIs), and Historically Black Community Colleges (HBCC). Publicly-supported HBCUs TMCF member schools represent 80% of all students attending HBCUs. Through scholarships, capacity building and research initiatives, innovative programs, and strategic partnerships, TMCF is a vital resource in the K-12 and higher education. The organization is also a source for top employers seeking top talent for competitive internships and good jobs. Now over $20M of funding for 2023-2024 scholarships has been awarded, enabling over 2K students to stay in school.
