The ZNF AI and data science scholarship is a scholarship for Nigerian students who want to build skills in artificial intelligence and data science. The scholarship is offered by the Zeribe Nwosu Foundation – a non-profit organization focused on youth empowerment, digital skills development, and education. The foundation supports Nigerian students through scholarships, training, and mentorship programmes aimed at preparing them for future careers. The ZNF AI and data science scholarship provides financial support, training, and certification to help participants develop in-demand tech skills.

Eligibility
To qualify for this scholarship, students must meet the following conditions:
- Be a Nigerian student or graduate
- Be at least in 4th year of study or recently graduated
- Have a minimum CGPA of 3.5 on a 5.0 scale (or equivalent)
- Be interested in AI, data science, or tech-related careers
- For polytechnic students (or students of universities using 4.0 as scale): A rough conversion of the CGPA to percentage is acceptable. CGPA of 2.8 out of 4.0 or 70% will be considered
- Medical students: Students should present their year 1 results as well as evidence of achieving “Pass” for the subjects taken in Year 2-3
Required documents
- A personal statement (1 page)
- CV including a section listing AI/data science tools students have used or developed (1-2 pages).
- One letter of recommendation on official letterhead (1-2 pages)
- Unofficial transcripts of year 1-3 academic records (applicants in year 5, 6 or graduates should include additional transcripts as appropriate).
- A statement of need, explaining why you need the scholarship
- minimum: 100 words
- maximum: 200 words
- A work/practical portfolio providing evidence of your outputs in the area of either AI, data science or both.
- This could include publications, Github profile, software/App developed, website or database created/maintained, etc.
- Just as a reference, your portfolio may cover statistics/programming languages, SQL, power BI, Tableau, visualization tools, machine learning, and should demonstrate analytical abilities.
- You have the discretion on how to package the requested proof of experience.
