The Federal Capital Territory or, FCT scholarship board scheme has been in existence since the 1980s.The Federal Capital Territory Government sponsors the FCT Scholarship through the state bursary and the Ministry of education. It is part of the social welfare and cooperation responsibility of the government to the FCT Indigenes.

The FCT Scholarship board aims to provide educational assistance(scholarships) that are needs and merit based to indigenous and indigent pupils and students of FCT at all levels of education for sustainable development enable.

The board’s division

  1. Administration and finance division.

2. Directorate Division.

3. The scholarship award division.

4. The partnership and donor support services division (PDSS).

Eligibility

Applicants must:

  • Be an indigene of FCT.
  • Be a full-time student of an approved institution in the country.
  • Have completed secondary school and written their Senior Secondary Examination (SSCE).
  • Be enrolled in any tertiary institutions in the state.
  • Have good grades in O’level results (with a minimum of 5 credits in the five relevant subjects, including Maths and English).
  • Have a minimum CGPA of 3.0.

  • Certificate of State of Origin.
  • First School Leaving Certificate(FSLC).
  • Senior School Certificate Examinations results(SSCE).
  • JAMB admission letter.
  • School admission letter.
  • Birth Certificate.
  • Statement of result containing your CGPA.
  • Recent passport photograph.
  • Students identification letter.
  • Student’s transcripts containing previous academic performance details.
  • Students ID Card or National ID or Driver’s Licence or International passport.
  • The functional E-mail address and phone number.
