FUCAP – Future-X Unilever Campus Ambassador program for Nigerians is a year long internship with a monthly stipend of ₦90,000 open to young talents around the country who have the passion to want more, do more, and contribute more to become great Leaders with a positive impact. The aim of the program is to engage 20 students and take them on a leadership journey as liaisons between Unilever and their respective Universities or Polytechnics. UNICEF Nigeria and Unilever hope that through the launch of FUCAP, over 700,000 Nigerian youth will be equipped with the necessary skills to succeed in the workplace.
Key responsibilities
As a Future-X Unilever Campus Ambassador (FUCA), you get an invaluable real world exposure to lead projects such as empowerment and skills development activities on your campuses. FUCAs get to build relationships with seasoned industry professionals, expand professional network even before entering the work industry, and their key responsibilities consists of the following:
- Regularly review outstanding invoices, track payment due dates, and identify potential late payments.
- Communicate with relevant stakeholders on issues relating to customer accounts.
- Implement debt collection strategies, including reminders, follow-up calls, and potentially working with collection agencies.
- Ensure accurate reconciliation of payments received against invoices, and resolve any discrepancies.
- Maintain accurate records of customer payment and collection efforts.
- Prepare and distribute periodic reports on outstanding debts, collection performance, and credit risk.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of credit control policies and procedures.
- Identify and mitigate credit risks by implementing effective credit control measures.
- Monitor Customer Bank Guarantee process.
- Ensuring proper cash management and incentive process.
Eligibility
Interested applicants must meet the following criteria in order to apply:
- Undergraduate student at a Nigerian university or polytechnic.
- Resourceful and intelligently curious.
- Team player.
- Be between 16-24 years old.
- Demonstrate an unwavering commitment to excellence, personal development, and professional development.
- Demonstrate an impressive record of initiative-taking and leadership.
