Midwestern and it’s JV Partner, SunTrust Atlantic Energies hereby invite suitably qualified Nigerian students to apply for it’s 2025/2026 ₦150,000 scholarship schemes. The scholarship schemes are aimed at promoting academic excellence and improving skill-based education among the youth of their host communities and Delta State.
Midwestern Oil & Gas Company Limited (“Midwestern”), the operator of the Umusadege field in PML 22 (formerly OML 56), is a leading indigenous oil and gas exploration company with operations in Umusadege, Kwale, Delta State, and it’s corporate head office in Lagos State. Additionally, Midwestern is deeply committed to the socio-economic development of it’s host communities, consistently demonstrating dedication to sustainable operations and positive community engagement. They are generously awarding scholarships based on the following schemes:
- University community award – For host communities only
- Secondary school community award
- University merit award – For Delta state indigenes only
Eligibility
The individual eligibility criteria for the Midwestern scholarship schemes are as follows:
University community award
- Current University ID Card.
- Scholarship is open to 100 & 200 level students at the time of application.
- Identification Letter Signed by any member of the Board of Trustees (BOT)
- Minimum of 5 Credits in SSCE or GCE including Mathematics & English, in one sitting.
Secondary school community award
- Scholarship is open to JSS 1 & JSS 2 Students only
- Birth Certificate
- Admission letter to a secondary school in Nigeria
- Identification Letter Signed by any member of the Board of Trustees (BOT)
- Result of the last year in primary school or JSS1 result.
University merit award
- Current University ID Card.
- Letter of identification from LGA.
- Scholarship is open to 200 level students who must have a minimum CGPA of 3.5 at the time of application.
- Minimum of 5 Credits in SSCE or GCE including Mathematics & English, in one sitting.
- JAMB/UTME & University admission letter from an accredited/approved university in Nigeria.
