The NNPC/NAE Postgraduate Scholarship Award Scheme for 2025/2026 is currently accepting applications. This scholarship is sponsored by Nigerian Agip Exploration (NAE) Limited in partnership with NNPC, aiming to support Nigerian graduates pursuing postgraduate studies either locally or abroad.
As Nigeria’s energy giant, NNPC plays a crucial role in national development, especially through partnerships and investments in education and capacity building initiatives. Together with Nigerian Agip Exploration (NAE) – A subsidiary of Eni, an Italian multinational energy company, they offer the NNPC/NAE Postgraduate Scholarship as part of their corporate social responsibility to empower young Nigerian graduates and support the country’s development.
Scholarship benefits
Winners of the NNPC NAE scholarship can expect to receive the following:
- Fully funded scholarship for one year postgraduate study.
- Coverage of the following fees:
- Tuition
- Accommodation
- Living stipends
- Field trips
- Travel expenses
Eligibility
Applicants must meet the following requirements in order to qualify for this scholarship:
- Be 28 years or younger by December 2025.
- Have a NYSC discharge certificate.
- Hold a Second-Class Upper degree from a Nigerian university.
- Hold a passport valid for at least one year from September 2025 (for overseas applicants only).
- Have an offer for a one-year master’s course in one of the listed subjects.

- Engineering (Petroleum, Mechanical, Civil, Subsea, Electrical, Marine, Chemical, Offshore, Environmental, Renewable)
- Geosciences
- Law (Oil and Gas, Petroleum)
How to apply
Step 1: Visit the Scholastica page (linked below) and click on “Register” to create an account. After you activate your account – via your email, return to Scholastica to complete your user profile.
Step 2: Ensure you click NAE Scholarship to open the scholarship page. Then click “Apply” in the top right hand corner of your screen to apply.
Step 3: Applicants are required to fill and sign the NAE Compliance Declaration form. To download the NAE Compliance Declaration form, click https://dragnetscreening.ng/files/NAE_compliance2024.pdf
Step 4: Once you submit your online application form you will be sent an automated email acknowledging receipt of your application.
Note: You will be contacted if you make the aptitude test shortlisted, if not you will be notified at the end of the campaign.
Documents
Applicants should prepare all the following documents before proceeding with the online application:
- Passport photograph (450 × 450 pixels).
- Provisional admission letter for post-graduate studies 2025/2026 session into any reputable university – Local/Overseas. This admission letter must be for the course stated on the candidate’s application.
- First degree certificate
- NYSC discharge certificate
- Valid ID card (Driver’s license, Voter’s card, National Identity card)
- Valid international passport data page for overseas category only (Valid for travel at least one year from September 2025)
- Birth Certificate from local government
- NAE Compliance Declaration form
