The Nigeria LNG (NLNG) Post Primary Scholarship Scheme (PPSS) is a fully funded education programme designed to support high performing basic six pupils in Nigeria, particularly those from NLNG host communities in Rivers State. It provides full tuition and related support to help beneficiaries transition into and complete their secondary school education. The scholarship is merit-based and open only to pupils in public primary schools who meet specific criteria. As part of NLNG’s social investment in education, the scheme aims to improve access to quality secondary schooling and develop future talent, with selection usually involving an application process and a qualifying test.

Eligibility criteria

  • Must be an indigene of any of the NLNG host communities in River State.
  • Must be in Basic Six and schooling in a public primary school in River State.
  • Must not be a beneficiary of any other scholarship award, bursary, or grant from any other organization.
  • Must not be more than 12 years of age.
  • Must not be a spouse, child, ward, or direct relation of staff of Nigeria LNG Limited.
  • Have a Basic six pupil in a public primary school in Rivers State.
  • Have a provisional admission from any of NLNG partner schools below:
    • Hallel College (Boarding) Rukpokwu, Port Harcourt
    • Archdeacon Brown Secondary School Woji, Port Harcourt.
    • Christie Toby Education Center, Iriebe.
