Shell assessed internship program

The Shell assessed internship program offers university students the opportunity to gain practical experience through 10 to 12 week placements in technical, commercial, and corporate areas. Interns work on meaningful projects with real business impact, supported by supervisors, mentors, and colleagues all while developing professional skills through structured feedback, networking, and learning opportunities.

Shell’s technical roles generally target students pursuing a Master’s degree or equivalent, while commercial and corporate roles typically require a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent. Following successful completion and assessment, interns may be considered for a full-time position through the Shell graduate program – although this is not guaranteed.

Eligibility

Interested students must meet the following requirements:

1. Actively enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program, with at least one more semester remaining after the internship (or in penultimate year)
2. Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.20 (or equivalent)
3. Relevant field depending on track (e.g. Chemical, Mechanical, Electrical, or Petroleum Engineering for technical roles; Business, Finance, or Economics for commercial roles)
4. Work authorization requirements vary by country but some locations don’t sponsor visas for interns
