The Deakin University RTP scholarship is a fully funded research training program for Master’s and PhD students. Both domestic and international students are eligible to apply. The scholarship is funded jointly by the Australian Government and Deakin University.
The RTP scholarship also supports Higher Degree by Research (HDR) candidates across a wide range of disciplines, including engineering, health sciences, business, and education, covering the standard duration of the research degree.
Scholarship benefits
Selected scholars will receive:
- Full tuition fee coverage
- Annual tax-free stipend of AUD $37,450
- Relocation allowance of up to AUD $1,500
- Overseas Student Health Cover for eligible international students
Eligibility
Eligible applicants mus:
- Applying for or enrolled in an HDR programme at Deakin University
- Completed at least four years of tertiary education
- Achieved 80% or equivalent in the research component of previous study
- Meets Deakin’s Higher Degrees by Research entry requirements
- Not receiving another award covering the same study expenses
- English language requirements met

How to apply
Eligible applicants must first identify a suitable research supervisor at Deakin, then submit an expression of interest before applying for the scholarship.
