The Charity Kpabep scholarship programme is supported by the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), the Federal Ministry of Environment, and the Sustainable Women in Engineering and Technical Fields (SWETS) to empower women in manufacturing, engineering, and technical fields. The programme provides financial and developmental support to talented young Nigerian females pursuing careers that drive industrial growth and sustainable development.
Scholarship benefits
- One-time award of up to $4,000 to cover tuition and living expenses, brand new laptops and Android phones.
- Specialized RAC training
- 1 to 3 month internship in a company focusing on RAC.
- A collegiate membership with the Society of Women Engineers, mentorship in the engineering field, and other networking opportunities.
Eligibility
In order to apply for this scholarship, students must meet the following criteria:
- Be a Nigerian female citizen
- Be aged below 40 at the time of application
- Be enrolled in an accredited Nigerian university or post-secondary institution in a full-time engineering or related degree program
- Must be within the final two years of study
- Demonstrate leadership and engagement in extracurricular activities
- Show commitment to attending scholarship engagement events, workshops, and trainings
- Show commitment to completing a relevant internship within the scholarship period
- Have willingness to provide quarterly progress reports and an internship report
