Digital Jewels scholarship For Nigerians

Digital Jewels Africa is offering the DJ Cares Scholarship – a ₦200,000 financial award designed to support Nigerian undergraduate students studying technology related fields. The scholarship is part of the company’s DJ Cares initiative, which aims to help students overcome financial barriers that could interrupt or prevent them from completing their education.

Beyond financial assistance, the programme provides scholars with opportunities to connect with Digital Jewels Africa’s professional network in Information Technology Governance, Risk and Compliance (IT GRC), helping them gain exposure to the industry and build valuable professional connections.

• Prioritized job placement after graduation at the organization’s Lagos and Abuja offices

Eligibility

Applicants must be:

1. Nigerian citizen
2. Studying Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Cybersecurity, Mechatronics, or Electrical Engineering
3. Minimum CGPA of 3.5/5.0 (or equivalent)
4. Currently in 2nd or 3rd year of study
5. Enrolled full-time in an accredited Federal or State university

How to apply

Eligible applicants are to write and submit an essay with max 500 words (must be in pdf format) on one of the provided topics below, then complete the online application form on the Digital Jewels portal.

1. Balancing innovation and security: The Ethical Dilemma of AI-Enabled Deepfakes in information technology and what it means for information security.
2. Tech Literacy and Its Importance in the 21st Century: Analyze the importance of tech literacy in today’s world and how it impacts personal growth and opportunities.
3. My Digital Footprint: Understanding the Impact of My Online Presence: Reflect on your online activities and discuss how your digital footprint can affect your future education and career prospects.
