EAC Student Mobility Scholarship Scheme (or EAC-SMS) is a regional scholarship scheme designed to promote academic mobility and integration across East Africa, supporting students to study at a university in an EAC Partner State other than their own. It’s a cost-sharing program, jointly funded by IUCEA, host universities, and students or their families.
Scholarship benefits
Benefits of the EAC-SMS include:
- Tuition and examination fees waived by the host university

Note: accommodation and daily living expenses are covered by the student/family, not the scholarship
