Bilkent University scholarships is offered annually to postgraduate students studying at Bilkent Üniversitesi to help relieve the financial burdens on them and allow them to focus fully on their academic and research pursuits, while also encouraging academic excellence, innovation, and the development of skills needed to contribute meaningfully to their chosen fields. The international Scholarship offers a wide range of options and prestigious fellowship/scholarship opportunities for graduate students including:

Bilkent University
Bilkent University (Bilkent Üniversitesi) is a private non-profit research university located in Ankara, Turkey. It was founded by İhsan Doğramacı, the first president of the Council of Higher Education and the head of the prominent Doğramacı family, with the aim of creating a center of excellence in higher education and research in 1984. It has constantly been ranked among the top Turkish universities since its establishment. In 2011, it was ranked 112th in the world by Times World University Rankings.
Scholarship benefits
The scholarships are fully funded and comes with other merits such as:
- Tuition waiver (950.000 TL/year for the Academic Year 2026-2027)
- It can be given as a partial exemption considering the academic success of the student.
- Monthly stipend including housing support (total of 65.000 TL / month)
- Private health insurance
- A laptop computer
- Meal card
- Travel support (once a year, at yearly determined fixed amount) to attend scientific events
- The awardee is expected to disseminate the results of his/her thesis research work being carried out at UNAM, by one of the means of which is intended to be UNAM’s travel support for his/her oral presentation at a well-known/-respected peer-reviewed conference
Eligibility
To be considered for the university’s scholarships, applicants meet the following requirements:
- Have a minimum of 2.80/4.00 CGPA for BSc graduates or MSC students at the time of application
- All nationalities are eligible to apply
- If you are a Turkish citizen resident in Turkey: ALES score is required, <55 (quantitative)
- Otherwise; GRE General Test score is required: 153 (quantitative)
- TOEFL IBT(at least 87), IELTS (at least 6.5 average and 5.5 from each section) or Bilkent COPE (at least C).
- If you don have iELTS or TOEFL, you can take Bilkent University’s own Proficiency in Academic English (PAE) exam upon arrival and registration.
How to apply
Interested and eligibile students should be ready to submit the following documents during the online application:
- Recommendations from instructors or others qualified to evaluate academic ability.
- Submission of ALES (Akademik Personel ve Lisansüstü Eğitimi Giriş Sınavı/Academic Personnel and Postgraduate Education Entrance Exam) or GRE scores.
- GMAT scores are required for graduate programs in Business Administration.
- Fluency in written and oral English.
- Official transcripts.
