The Qatar government scholarships is funded by the Ministry of Education and Higher Education of Qatar for the 2026/2027 set. The scholarship is a fully funded study for eligible Qatari students to pursue undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral degrees at approved universities in Qatar and abroad, including in the US, UK, and Canada.
The scholarship plan includes three main programs:
- The Amiri Scholarship Programme
- The abroad Scholarship Programme
- The local Scholarship Programme (including Tomouh)
Each will be covering different academic levels and fields, with a goal of building a skilled workforce aligned with Qatar’s National Vision 2030.
Scholarship benefits
Scholarship includes:
- Full tuition coverage
- Monthly living stipend (QAR 8,000โ12,000, depending on program)
- Travel allowance and flight tickets (business class for some tracks)
- One-time relocation/pre-departure grant (up to QAR 40,000)
Eligibility
Interested applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Open only to Qatari nationals
- Must hold a high school diploma or higher qualification
- Must meet the required academic performance standards for the chosen track
- Must hold an unconditional admission letter from an approved university
