2. The Annual Evans Scholarship
The annual Evans scholarship is a full tuition and housing college scholarship for high-achieving caddies with limited financial means. To qualify, caddies must meet the requirements of having a strong caddie record, excellent academics, demonstrated financial need and outstanding character.
In 1930, the Western Golf Association and celebrated amateur golfer Charles “Chick” Evans Jr. established the Evans Scholars Foundation. In 2000, the Davidsons established the national nonprofit Davidson Institute for Talent Development out of a concern that our nation’s most gifted and talented young people were largely neglected and underserved. The American College Foundation(ACF) offers the annual Visionary Scholarship program to financially support students in every grade level of high school. The ACF awards start at $1,000 each, with a grand prize of $5,000 and it’s is a merit based scholarship.
Each award is a one-time, non-renewable award that is paid directly to the institution and is to be used exclusively to offset costs and fees related directly to the student’s first year of higher post-secondary education at an accredited institution of the student’s choosing within the United States.
