The University of Calgary entrance scholarship is an annual merit-based award offered to outstanding international students beginning their undergraduate studies at the University of Calgary in Canada. The scholarship supports high achieving students with strong academic backgrounds who are entering their first year of study and is renewable for up to four years, provided recipients maintain strong academic performance during their studies.
Scholarship benefits
The scholarship is $20,000 and comes with the following benefits:

- Continued support based on academic performance (minimum GPA requirement)
- Financial assistance toward tuition and living costs
Eligibility
To qualify for this scholarship, applicants must:
- Be international students who are registered full-time in an undergraduate degree program that commences in the Fall term.
- Be fresh students.
- Present a minimum GPA of 3.20.
- Have satisfied the university’s English language proficiency requirement.
- Be international students who are required to pay a differential fee and who are not Canadian citizens or permanent residents of Canada are eligible to apply.
How to apply
Interested students will apply for this scholarship by first aplying for admission into an undergraduate program at the University of Calgary. Once their application has been assessed and they’ve gained access to the scholarship portal, they can submit the scholarship application through the university system. Ensure all academic and supporting documents are provided before submission.
