The V20 Climate Prosperity fellowship program is a year-long fellowship for finance officials from CVF-V20 member countries, designed to build technical skills in climate finance and support national Climate Prosperity Plans. Now in its 4th cohort, the program was launched in 2023 by the CVF-V20 and the Boston University Global Development Policy Center to drive climate action and mobilize international support for climate-vulnerable nations.
About CVF-V20
The Climate Vulnerable Forum and V20 (Vulnerable Twenty) group bring together finance ministries of countries most affected by climate change to advocate for reform of the international financial system and push for stronger, more ambitious climate action on the global stage.
Program benefits
The fellowship comes with numerous benefits including:

- Technical training in international financial architecture, debt reform, and climate risk surveillance
- Two one week in-person residencies (January 2027 and October 2027)
- Weekly webinars and direct engagement with international financial institutions
- Opportunity to present at V20 Senior Officials Meetings and IMF/World Bank Spring Meetings
- Optional intensive training track in debt sustainability analysis
Eligibility
Interested applicants must be:
- Citizen of a CVF-V20 member country
- Official at a Ministry of Finance (or equivalent), with 5โ10 years of mid- to senior-level experience in international affairs, public policy, or climate/environmental/sustainable development
- Able to commit to the full year of program activities, both online and in-person, including weekly virtual sessions
- Willing to travel for in-person residencies
- Proficient in English
