The John Thompson scholarship is a prestigious awarded by the Dublin City University’s Business School, alongside the family and friends of the late John Thompson. The scholarship covers the full tuition fees for one highly qualified student enrolled in the MSc in Digital Marketing program. The John Thompson Scholarship was established in 2008 to commemorate John Thompson, a towering figure in Irish media with nearly three decades of influence. As a key executive, John contributed to the launch and success of major publications such as U Magazine, The Sunday World, and The Irish Farmers Journal. His leadership roles included serving as the Chief Executive of Associated Newspapers Ireland and Managing Director at Independent Star Limited.
Eligibility
The eligibility requirements to be qualified for this scholarship are as follows:
- Be a home or foreign student
- Be applying to study at the DCU Business School
- Have applied to the MSc Digital Marketing programme here in DCU Business School.
