LONG scholars program for undergraduates

The LONG scholars program for undergraduates is offered by the LONG Empowerment Foundation to support Nigerian students from low-income backgrounds. The scholarship is designed to ease financial burdens and enable students to focus fully on their academic pursuits while also encouraging excellence, leadership, and community impact.

The program supports students across various levels including undergraduate, ND, and HND programs in accredited Nigerian institutions, and is renewable annually based on academic performance and financial need.

Eligibility

To be considered for the LONG scholars program, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  1. Be a Nigerian citizenBe between 16 and 26 years old at the time of application
  2. Have secured admission into an accredited Nigerian university, polytechnic, or college of education
  3. Continuing students must have a minimum CGPA equivalent to second class upper
  4. New students must present proof of admission, WAEC results with at least 5 credits, and JAMB score of at least 200
  5. Be from a low-income family (annual income less than ₦3,000,000)
  6. Demonstrate leadership potential and community involvement

How to apply

Interested and eligible students should apply online through the official application platform and be ready to provide the necessary supporting documents including proof of admission, academic records, and evidence of financial need.
